Tammy joined Bindmans in August 2008 and worked in Public Law and Human Rights before joining the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department in March 2010.
During her time at Bindmans, Tammy has worked on several high profile human rights cases within Saimo Chahal’s Civil Liberties and Social Welfare team including the landmark ruling in relation to Debbie Purdy’s Article 8 rights and the substantive Article 2 duty in the case of Savage. She then worked in Public Law and Media where she assisted on applications for judicial review and dealt with defamation and media disputes. She now assists on a caseload including complex as well as less serious clinical negligence cases and a mixture of personal injury claims.
Before joining Bindmans, Tammy worked in sport at the Premier League where she assisted with media and broadcasting contracts as well as being involved with the ‘Premier Skills’ project which provided football coaching sessions all around the world to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. She also has a background in family law. Whilst at university, she worked for Age Concern UK in Wales.
Tammy obtained an LLB from Aberystwyth University and an LLM in Legal Aspects of the Medical Practice from Cardiff University before moving to London.
